So…What’s in your closet?

You can’t turn on the television, radio, or computer without hearing/reading about an individual’s latest infidelity from governmental leaders to prominent religious leaders; it seems to be no difference. Sin truly is no respecter of persons! We have all either publicly or privately expressed our opinions in popular stories such as, Tiger Woods, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, Gov. Mark Sanford, Bishop Eddie Long, Jesse James and Dominique Strauss-Kahn.

What do all these gentlemen have in common with YOU? A closet.

The Bible states it best: “For there is nothing hidden that will be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not be known or brought out into the open.” (Luke 8:17, NIV)

Now if we were on display publicly what would come out of our closets?… Don’t get scared I’m not coming to your front door to star you on a new E! reality show 🙂  All these stories remind me of R Kelly’s famous hit “Trapped in the Closet.” Now I know many of my followers have heard this song at least once, with its 97 parts it quickly became a short film! Lol. However, the song actually challenged the world and specifically the African-American community to address some issues that have been in our closets for sometime. Unfortunately, we seem to have missed the announcement.

With everyone’s coming out of his or her “closets” in the 21st century I just have one question… When are the real Christians coming out of their closets? We seriously need a representation of the Kingdom of God that is unwavering from the truth (The Bible). Being a secret Christian should be like fire shut-up in your bones, you can’t keep quiet! (Jer. 20:9)

Love God Hate Sin. That statement is easier said than done. Living this Christ-like life is challenge but definitely worth it! Remember your fight is not against flesh and blood (Eph. 6:12).

Scripture: “Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.” (Phil. 3:12, NIV)
