These are just a few responses one may receive when asking someone are you healthy.
“I eat right (most of the time).”
“I exercise every now and then.”
“I drink water everyday. “
The first problem with these responses is that they are not answering the question, but rather given reasons on why they think they are physically healthy. As many of us know doing only one aspect of maintaining a healthy/toned body does not make you healthy. One must eat healthy consistently, exercise (daily), drink lots of water (daily), and go to regular doctor visits.
Our health determines our outlook on life and what we may risk or not. For example, a person who is given only a month to live may spend all his/her savings to do what they always wanted to because now time is running out. Why do we wait to live life when we’re almost dead?
Being healthy physically can often make us believe that we are in great shape, holistically . However, the key to having total health (mind, body, and spirit) is by making sure our spiritual body is in proper alignment. When you are spiritually out of place it is almost guaranteed that your mind and body are not far behind from being off balance.
Today message is quite simple; are you really healthy?
“For physical training is of some value, but godliness has values for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.” 1 Timothy 4:8 (NIV)
