After recently watching the movie “In Time” I was reminded how precious our time is. More importantly how we can so haphazardly misuse our time. Some readers say, “I don’t have enough time” and others “I have so much time on my hands.”
Time is precious especially when you have a limited amount. In the movie characters are desperate to receive more time. Food, clothes, cars, or education were the least of their concerns. If an individual had plenty of time he/she was rather lackadaisical about the day to day activities. However, individuals with limited amount of time only worried and worked to get time. No matter what those with less time did there was no way he/she were going to ever receive probably more than 24 hours. The old saying, “Just take one day at a time” was quite literal in this movie.
In our lives we see time wasted on meaningless things everyday, but somehow make no effort to change. What if you had no choice?… As mentioned earlier this week we are living 2012 as if this was our last year on this earth. So in a certain aspect you are running…
As you are reading for most of you it is early morning or mid-afternoon, either way there is still time in TODAY to make effective use of it.
If you had an extra hour or 30 minutes in a day, what would you really accomplish? Would you use your time wisely?
Successful individuals often lose sleep and in our own words, ‘make’ time to accomplish what we needs to be done. Because we do not know when our last moment is here on this earth it is imperative we live each day to the fullest!
Scripture: “He said to them, it is not for you to become acquainted with and know what time brings [the things and events of time and their definite periods] or fixed years and seasons (their critical niche in time), which the Father has appointed (fixed and reserved) by His own choice and authority and personal power.
Call to Action: Today make time to be impactful to your successor either in the workplace, family, business, or ministry. Make sure it matters that you were once In Time.
