“Yes Jesus Loves Me” by Whitney Houston

Last night, I struggled to come to a consensus on what to blog about… I know Valentine’s is here so the obvious would be to write about love. However, with the recent passing of the wonderful singer Whitney Houston I reconsidered. Many singers have brought encouragement to my life with their songs, but I can truly say that Whitney always had something just a little more. Whitney’s talent was unmatchable because she was truly in a legal of her own. Whitney gave of herself every time she opened her voice to sing.

One of my favorite songs is “Yes Jesus Loves Me” and when Whitney song it on “The Bodyguard” soundtrack in 1992 it was if she was able to articulate what I was feeling about Jesus’ love. Today many are celebrating or honoring those that they love quite dearly with candies, clothes, hearts, etc.

Today I would like to share what Whitney so elegantly shared through song with us the love Jesus has for YOU. Below is a video that hopefully not only encourages you, but reminds you that Jesus really loves YOU just the way you are! Even when we forget about God, He never let’s go!

Scripture: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.” (John 3:16-17, NKJV)

Call to Action: Please keep the Houston family, especially Whitney’s daughter Bobbi Kristina, in your prayers.
